These introspective piano based ambiences are originally inspired by the photographic art of Deborah Parkin. The main objective of this audio-photographic association is to encourage a mood of self-listening experience connected to an “interior space”. The floating sound waves are voluntary sustained by a short collection of digital field recordings in order to reinforce the cinematic-sonorous impact on the listening experience.
Pictures of the diaporama are taken from the serie September is the cruellest month (2010)
Deborah Parkin is a fine art and portrait photographer based in Hexham, Northumberland. With a unique use of light, b&w textures she adopts a careful sense of observation about the cheerful and natural simplicity of life. Each scene reveals the presence of deeply emotional themes related to childhood, family diary, reflective meditation on immortality and the passing of time.
Philippe B (a.k.a Day Before Us ) is a classically trained musician and composer of organic ambient textures. His recordings try to capture the essence of subjective lyrical state and ghostly post-romanticism.

Hail the heavenly bowers of peace, where all the storms of passion cease (H.K White) This page is dedicated to my cinematic-organic ambient project (Day Before Us), mostly based on piano improvs, echoing sound forms and minimal patterns.
